Josh Brolin Teases Thanos Mo-Cap Filming for Avengers: Infinity War
Thanos will finally get his chance to show how powerful he is in Avengers: Infinity War, and Josh Brolin has returned to set to do even more motion-capture. The Mad Titan has been lurking behind-the-scenes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the post-credit scene of The Avengers. After a brief appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy and actually picking up an Infinity Gauntlet after Avengers: Age of Ultron, it will be Infinity War that will see Thanos’ power unleashed.
He’ll need to get his hands on all six Infinity Stones before he can do that – and has already given up control of two before – but he will surely secure them this time around. Thanos will be a major part of the film and will require a lot from Brolin, which is why he started working on Infinity War months ahead of time… and now, he’s back to do even more.
Brolin posted a photo on Instagram of his face inside one of the trailers on or near the set of Infinity War, but it is easy to notice his face is completely covered with dots. The reason for this is so he can do more motion-capture for the role and allow Marvel the ability to bring as much of Brolin’s performance as possible, to what will be a completely CGI villain.
