Spider-Man And DJ Khaled Team Up For New NBA Finals TV Spot

Man, Spider-Man's star continues to rise. Not only is the classic Marvel hero getting ready to headline his latest solo Spidey movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming (in theaters on July 7), he's also holding down a series of clever, original TV spots that are running during the NBA Finals. In the previous two spots -- which you can watch right here -- Peter Parker (Tom Holland) lands an invite to an NBA Finals viewing party at Tony Stark's pad. Only, Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) needs the webslinger to go get snacks for the shindig. How is that going? As the newest spot reveals, not well:  The crackers will be a huge hit with the former San Antonio Spurs all star.

Speaking of all stars, Spider-Man runs into an all-star in the music industry in the bodega. DJ Khaled is there, and is star-struck by the presence of the friendly neighborhood wall-crawler. And then, the big punchline. Two ladies, ready for a night on the town, ask to take a picture. With the famous DJ Khaled? Nope. With Spidey. His reputation precedes him.

How will this conclude? Will Spider-Man ever get to Tony Stark's NBA Finals party? By the time he gets there, the game -- or the series -- could be over. Golden State isn't too keen on letting the Cleveland Cavaliers hang around. The NBA Championship could be wrapped up long before Spider-Man: Homecoming gets to theaters.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is the latest Sony Spidey film, but also the first made in collaboration with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tom Holland, introduced in Captain America: Civil War, returns as Peter Parker, who is juggling the hardships of high school, as well as the arrival of Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton), a villainous Vulture who has a real ax to grind with Stark and his team. The movie is expected to bring the Vulture, the Tinkerer and the Shocker into Spider-Man's MCU universe, and will also feature a supporting role for Iron Man.
