How Loki Is Probably Going To Look In Thor: Ragnarok

While the world seems to be looking to Spider-Man: Homecoming as the next installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is another major blockbuster just around the corner as well. Thor: Ragnarok is the third film in the franchise, and looks like it's going to be a game changer for Thor fans. Because in addition to the inclusion of Mark Ruffalo's Hulk and Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie, Ragnarok will bring back the villain Loki, who has been missing since the events of Thor: The Dark World. The sequel saw him take the guise of Odin and sit on Asgard's throne. Now we have a possible tease at what the villain will look like, courtesy of Ragnarok's upcoming toy line.

Loki's got a new look, and it's pretty badass looking. Let's break down what we're being shown.

While this action figure might not be the exact replicant of Tom Hiddleston's Thor: Ragnarok costume, it certainly teases a more mobile and action friendly Loki in the next film. Loki's costume from Thor and The Avengers was a bit more bulky, as the trickster god wore a long jacket and carried around his Scepter. This didn't stop him from engaging in action sequences, but his new costume appears to be much more lightweight and easier to move in- with Loki wearing a cape instead of his huge jacket.

The concept of merchandise providing spoilers for upcoming movies has become fairly commonplace, unfortunately. Because comic book movies are mostly around to make oodles of money, studios accompany their films with action figures, lego sets, and the like. But with the figures' based off of events from the anticipated films, these toy sets can sometimes spoil moments from the movie. Giant-Man's inclusion in Captain America: Civil War was spoiled by a lego set, and even deaths from Alien: Covenant were shown through its Funko Pop line.

Luckily, Loki's Thor: Ragnarok costume isn't a total surprise, as he's been shown in a few shots of the trailer. As a comparison, check out this still of the trickster getting into the action with some throwing knives.

This seem to match the above action figure, with Loki's new costume allowing him more mobility and comfort while battling his unknown foes. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see Loki throwing knives in battle. Now that he doesn't have the magic of the tesseract at his disposal, the villain will have to rely more on his hand to hand combat.
